Michael Warden
Head Coach
- Michael ("Coach Mocha”) has worked in the club on the Women's staff as an assistant on the first team since 2023. He has served as a Head Coach within the Women's Reserve program in 2024 and 2025.
- Additionally works as an Assistant Coach on the University of Guelph Women's Soccer Staff; and as a Technical Staff Coach for Guelph Soccer.
- He played in the OUA for the Wilfrid Laurier University Men's Soccer Program and following the end of his University career, he began coaching in 2018.
Paige Potakos

Now in her second year with Guelph United, Coach Paige is a versatile addition to our Women’s Program Staff. Strong tactical understanding and a player-centric coaching style allows Paige to contribute unique insight to the game and to add her experience into our women’s program.
Justin Mayo
Strength and Conditioning coach
Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for the University of Guelph Varsity Soccer, Volleyball and Swim. 2023 - Present
9 years of coaching experience in high performance environments in both Canada and the US (NCAA, Olympics Canada, OHL, USPORTS and many more).

Certifications from the National Strength & Conditioning Association, Altis, EXOS and successful completion of a Division1 internship with Elon University in North Carolina
Justin prides himself in helping athletes understand the “Why?” behind everything he prescribes. Justin values simplicity in training and the idea that it's not ‘what’ you do but rather, ‘how’ you do it!
Laura Moncada
Lead Doctor
Laura earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College and further enhanced her expertise with a certificate in Manual Osteopathy.
She brings experience from both clinical and high-performance team environments, delivering quality care to a wide range of clients.
Most recently, she served as the Medical Trainer for Team Ontario Red, playing a key role in their championship win at the Women’s U18 Hockey Nationals.
