Guelph United signs forward Wesley Cain

Guelph United has signed 29 year old Canadian forward Wesley Cain.

Cain last played for League1 Ontario club North Mississauga SC, scoring 2 goals in the 8 games played in the 2023 season.

Last year, he was a regular starter for BVB IA Waterloo, for which he scored 10 goals in 19 games.

Cain was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and, prior to joining Waterloo last season, he’s had an interesting career that saw him play for K-W United in the USL PDL, for Hawke’s Bay United and Napier City in the New Zealand top division, and for Tomasovia and Hetman Zamosc, in the lower divisions of Poland.

Before all of these clubs, as a youngster, he was a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps academy.

Cain is available for selection in Guelph’s match tonight, away at Darby FC.
