At the beginning of 2025, he took over the GM position for new League2 club Cambridge United. In their first season, he helped promote both of their teams to the L1 Championship division.
Sebastian Sgarbossa
Assistant Coach & Club Goalkeeper Coach
Sebastian has been coaching with RED Academy for the past four years, working with both the grassroots and competitive goalkeepers. He’s also the head goalkeeper coach with the Conestoga College Men’s and Women’s soccer programs.
As a player, Sebastian developed in the Kitchener-Waterloo rep systems before spending three seasons with Toronto FC III. He later played four seasons with the University of Toronto. Internationally, he represented Canada with the Men’s U-17 National Team at the 2017 CONCACAF U-17 World Cup Qualifiers in Panama.

Tyler Freeman
First Team Assistant Coach & Analyst
Reserve Team Head Coach
A CONCACAF B Licence candidate and Canada Soccer C Licence holder, Freeman spent the past two seasons with the Waterloo United men’s program as an analyst and assistant coach.
Holding certifications in Talent Identification, Analysis, and Scouting, he brings over 15 years of high-performance playing experience, blending modern performance analysis with a strong commitment to developing players for the next level.

Laura Moncada
Lead Doctor
Laura earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College and further enhanced her expertise with a certificate in Manual Osteopathy.
She brings experience from both clinical and high-performance team environments, delivering quality care to a wide range of clients.
Most recently, she served as the Medical Trainer for Team Ontario Red, playing a key role in their championship win at the Women’s U18 Hockey Nationals.
