Guelph United announces Jacob Cabral as the first new signing for 2024
Guelph United has signed attacking midfielder Jacob Cabral for the 2024 season.
Cabral becomes the first player announced for next year, in which our team will be part of the top-tier Premier Division of League1 Ontario.
In 2023, Cabral played for ProStars FC, appearing in 14 matches for their U21 team, and in 5 matches for the Senior squad. He then joined the University of Guelph, and played for the Guelph Gryphons this fall, appearing in 11 games as a freshman.

Jacob will make an immediate impact as he is a top quality player with an exciting attacking mindset, desire to play forward, enthusiasm for the game, and overall creativity as a player. We are very excited for his signing as we take on the 2024 season and cannot wait to see him interacting among our environment, with our fans, and within the community”, said Guelph United’s head coach, Justin Springer.
