GUFC signs League1 and U Sports All-Star Elise Bell
Guelph United is thrilled to announce we have signed defender Elise Bell for the 2026 season.
Elise hails from Toronto, ON, and has had a remarkable start to her soccer career. She is the 2025 League1 Ontario Young Player of the Year, Defender of the Year, and a First-Team All-Star. And, despite being a defender, she finished 4th in the goalscorer charts, bagging 10 goals in 2025. In her first 2 League1 Ontario seasons, playing for North Toronto Nitros, she appeared in 42 matches, scoring 16 goals.
Her accomplishments impress not only in league play, but also in U Sports. She is a member of the Guelph Gryphons, appearing in 25 matches over the last 2 seasons, and adding 2 goals and 3 assists. In both 2024 and 2025, she was named a U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian.
