Elise Bell signs professional contract with NSL’s Ottawa Rapid FC

Elise Bell has signed a professional contract with Ottawa Rapid FC, of the Northern Super League.

Elise was signed by Guelph United in the off-season, but only arrived in Guelph in early June, after she wrapped up the season in Australia, with her previous club, Brisbane City FC.

She only got to play in 9 matches for our team, but she instantly made her mark, and became a standout player, contributing decisively to Guelph United’s 3rd place finish in the Ontario Premier League’s top division. During a stretch of games in which our top goalscorer, Olivia Brown, was out with an injury, Elise stepped in, and scored 9 goals of her own.

Maybe her best match for Guelph United happened in the OPL Cup Final, in which she scored twice in GUFC’s 5-0 win over Hamilton United, and ended up being declared OPL Cup Final MVP.
