Guelph United signs Canadian forward Donart Beqiri

Guelph United is happy to reveal we have signed Canadian forward Donart Beqiri for the 2024 season.

Beqiri, 23, has last played professionally in Kosovo, for second-tier club KF Flamurtari. Before signing in Kosovo, he spent most of the 2023 season in League1 Ontario, appearing in 11 matches and scoring 2 goals for Hamilton United. Previously, he played for UPSL’s Chantilly Forever FC, as well as CSL’s Brantford Galaxy and Hamilton City SC. He has also been on the radar of Canada Soccer, appearing for the U15 national team in 2015.

We are pleased to welcome Donart into the United family. We are very excited to begin working alongside him, as he brings an attacking flair and overall creativity into the squad. Donart further reinforces and provides depth into our attacking unit and we are very excited to see the quality, experience, and overall attributes he will bring to the team”, says Justin Springer, Guelph United’s head coach.

I’m happy to be a part of the Guelph United family, and I am excited for this upcoming season.
