Guelph United signs Yordan Stoyanov for the 2026 season

After the signing of Marcel Zajac, Guelph United continues to add experience to its attacking options. Today, we’re happy to announce we signed Canadian forward Yordan Stoyanov for the 2026 season.

Stoyanov, 29, hails from Mississauga, and has been a perennial standout for L1 Ontario Premier Division club Burlington SC. In the last three seasons, he appeared in 50 matches for Burlington, and scored 12 goals.

Before League1, Yordan has had a great U Sports career playing for the McMaster Marauders. Between 2015 and 2019, he appeared in 58 games, scored 17 goals, became the team’s captain, and was an OUA All Star.
