GUFC promotes Ladhani and Fraser from reserves to the senior squad
Guelph United has re-signed two of its reserves players to senior deals for the 2026 season. After impressing in League2 Ontario last year, Omar Ladhani and Ethan Fraser have both been promoted to the senior GUFC squad.
Omar Ladhani is a midfielder from Guelph, who has been with GUFC since 2023. Since then, he has played 49 matches for all our reserve squads: U19, U21 and League2, progressing through the ranks every year. He even had the chance to be called up and play 5 matches for the senior team - which he now joins full-time.
Ethan Fraser, a wing-back from Cambridge, has followed an almost identical trajectory, joining Guelph United in 2023, and playing 47 matches at the U19, U21 and L2 levels, while also being called up for 4 senior matches.
